Biden confrontational in address

WASHINGTON — Republicans representing the north country in Congress have expectedly expressed disappointment in President Joseph R. Biden’s State of the Union address, saying there was little redeemable about his Thursday night speech.

Biden delivered to Congress a politically-focused speech that sought to address some of the issues he polls weak on, like the border, public safety and the economy. He appeared to lay out much of what he will focus on in his reelection campaign, and made 13 individual references to former President Donald J. Trump, his predecessor and main competition in the race for reelection.

It's no wonder North Country Republicans (politicians) were disappointed by President Biden's State of the Union address. Instead of a dithering old man standing before them, they saw a fit and feisty fighter who came out swinging.

He gave them a "sock-on-the-jaw" on numerous issues that illustrated his achievements and their short comings. Such as their support for the Jan. 6th rioters who smashed the windows and bashed in the doors of our Capital Building. Who assaulted police with clubs and chemicals all in an effort to prevent the counting of the electoral votes that would make Biden president. Now in a blatant attempt to suck up to Trump and become his Vice President nominee, Representative Stefanik calls these rioters "hostages". President Biden went on to criticize Republicans for failing to pass a bi-partisan immigration bill that would help solve the crisis at the Southern border because his opponent wants to use the crisis as a campaign issue. Also President Biden trumpeted his success in lowering inflation from 9% to 3% without causing a recession or increasing unemployment.

Yes, Republican politicians must have been very disappointed that President Biden was nothing like the feeble old man they tried to portray him to be; a man so incapable of being the leader of our nation and the Free World that Representative Tenny called for his removal using the 25th Amendment. Joe Biden gave Republican politicians the old what for in his State-of-the-Union address and they deserved every word of it. I thought it was a great speech!

Mr. Gault will always have negative things to report as long as he calls on Rep. Stefanik and Rep. Tenney to spew the required Republican playbook down-talking points. As any well-informed voter who actually watched the entire 68 minute address knows, President Biden factually pointed out specific accomplishments that have moved our country forward - while the Republican House sat there stone-faced and stewing because they didn't want the truth of how they block constructive actions proposed by the Democrats, how they propose cutting Social Security and Medicare, how they are protesting asking the wealthy 20% to pay their fair share of taxes or how they count on their voters to be misinformed. The steam was coming out of their ears as people cheered Biden's constructive, intelligent immigration reforms (while the House holds out for 900 more miles of border wall - seriously?) Most of us have had to listen to Trump's accusative, rambling rallies while he was President. I wonder how many Republicans actually tuned in last night to learn about verifiable information that the GOP would prefers to hide from them?
